JYP Entertainment is pursuing environmental management in two directions : 'Climate Change Response' and 'Spreading Eco-friendly Values'. To address climate change issues, we are making efforts to manage energy consumption and transition to renewable energy throughout their business activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

2050 Climate Change Response Roadmap

JYP Entertainment is actively taking the lead in responding to climate change by aiming for zero greenhouse gas emissions. We are managing internal energy consumption while making efforts to switch to renewable energy sources and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Through these initiatives, we are striving to preserve the Earth's environment as a foundation for future generations to realize their dreams.

RE100 Implementation

JYP Entertainment voluntarily implemented the eco-friendly initiative RE100 to address the climate crisis and was the first company in the domestic entertainment industry to make such changes. We have successfully replaced 100% of our electricity sources to renewable energy sources. In 2021-2024, the entire electricity used by the company was substituted with solar energy. This includes the power consumed for recording music by our artists, which was entirely produced using 100% renewable energy sources.

"RE100" is an abbreviation for "Renewable Electricity 100%," which is a voluntary campaign where companies commit to source 100% of their required electricity from renewable energy sources, either by purchasing renewable electricity or self-generating.

JYP Entertainment is at the forefront of efforts to promote eco-friendly values, starting with the establishment of eco-friendly offices within the company. We are actively leading eco-friendly content production and engaging in environmental campaigns alongside our artists.
Furthermore, we are carrying out various activities both internally and externally, participating in global environmental networks, aiming to address environmental issues through global solidarity.

1% for the Planet

As a member of the global environmental network, "1% for the Planet", JYP Entertainment is actively working in solidarity with environmental organizations domestically and internationally to address environmental issues. We donate 1% of sales from JYP-Soulcup to OSEAN (Our Sea of East Asia Network) to protect the ocean which has become the final destination of all waste.

LOVE EARTH CHALLENGE

Since 2020, JYP Entertainment has been conducting the LOVE EARTH CHALLENGE annually to commemorate International Coastal Cleanup Day. Through this initiative, they propose environmentally-friendly actions that anyone can practice in their daily lives to protect the oceans. The goal is to create a better world and contribute to preserving the environment by encouraging individuals to take part in activities that safeguard our planet.
